Letter From Our CEO

I’m delighted to welcome you to ARTÉMIA Communications, Inc., a full-service integrated marketing and strategic communications agency catering to clients around the globe.

As the year turns, we at ARTÉMIA look forward to continued growth. 2012 is both a new year and a new opportunity for us to match our dedicated and knowledgeable creative, business development, and communication professionals – and their impressive expertise – with our clients.

While the calendar year has changed, our mission at ARTÉMIA has not. We continue to passionately believe in the principles of diversity and sustainability – and 2011 brought us new credentials and capabilities in this regard. I’m pleased to announce that ARTÉMIA Communications is one of very few agencies to receive triple ISO & TL certification. To reach this impressive milestone we underwent an extremely demanding, year-long training, as well as final audits. As a result of our commitment and perseverance we now hold the following certifications: ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System, ISO 9001 – Quality Management System and TL 9000 – Telecom Quality Management System.

As ARTÉMIA’s CEO, I must admit I coveted this triple certification, and not only because what we learned in the process of attaining it will help us to better serve our clients. I value it because it so clearly demonstrates that at ARTÉMIA we practice what we preach. Our agency was first involved in “green” initiatives back in 2005, in conjunction with the World Environment Day. We have a strong track record of successfully assisting international emerging technology clients in the renewable energy/cleantech, healthcare IT, and high-tech (software and hardware) industries — and it’s one we plan to uphold.

This goes for diversity and inclusion initiatives too. This year we will continue the work we’ve done for over a decade, helping Fortune 100 companies, national governmental departments, and minority business enterprises to: build and participate in diversity programs; support diverse sourcing and supply teams; and coordinate advertising and business events targeted to minority communities.

One of the highlights of 2011 for me was the intensive five-day period I spent in New York state attending the Tuck-WBENC Executive Program. Affiliated with Dartmouth University’s School of Business, this executive education program is designed to help WBEs assess, improve, and grow their businesses. The Tuck program has turned out to be an invaluable tool for moving ahead in a time of constant change.

Social media has become indispensable and we’re adept at using it to the advantage of our clients. Yet we’re looking beyond it, too. While Facebook, Twitter, and the like are quick to report on how people are reacting to trends, at ARTÉMIA we want to pinpoint developments even earlier. Information is coming at us from all directions. How to manage it? Where is the future headed? These are some of the questions we’re exploring on your behalf.

In fact, we’re constantly monitoring and exploring industry developments and trends. One I’m increasingly passionate about is access to health care. I have found the explosion in e-health technology to be both exciting and heartening.New apps are being developed all the time to help with prevention and diagnosis. Even patients in remote, rural communities where few, if any, medical professionals are available, can now communicate with distant specialists via smartphones and other devices.

This year, as always, we’ll move your company forward with an effectiveness that can’t be matched. We’ll keep you ahead of the curve.

I’m proud of what we do at ARTÉMIA – and I’m truly excited about the work we’ll be doing together in 2012.

Sincerely,
Barbara I. Wichmann, CEO
